Developmental Language Disorder Awareness Day 

Here at A Pinch Of SaLT, we are supporting Developmental Language Disorder Awareness Day!

DLD is a term used to describe difficulties with learning and using language. Scientists don't yet know what causes DLD, but it is a 'hidden' disability that can hinder a child's academic and social progress. DLD is not something you 'grow' out of and needs specialist support from Speech and Language Therapist in conjunction with a wider multidisciplinary team. For more information see our blog here.
