Tara is a qualified Speech and Language Therapist and graduated from The University of Sheffield in 2015. Tara currently works as Head of Therapies in a secondary school, where she manages a team of Allied Health Professionals as well as working alongside other professionals such as Educational Psychologists, CAMHS, Teachers and Teaching Assistants. Tara also enjoys taking on Speech and Language Therapy placement students throughout the academic year.
Tara has a specialist interest in Learning Disabilities across the lifespan, learning theory, and literacy and believes that the best kind of support and intervention is person centred and part of a wider team to support the child or young person.
Tara is a Research Champion with the RCSLT, Social Media and Book Editor for The Child Language Teaching and Therapy Journal and enjoys sharing evidenced based practice with her colleagues.
